Smile on My face - say's it all :)

Today was the day that I started Riding at West Hallam Riding Centre, and that I was back riding my favourite Boy :') GATSBY, of course who else?  The lesson went really well, my lesson was at 1:00 but I was able to get there for 12:30 to tack Gatsby up and Groom him, for the simple reason that I love Gatsby, so anytime spent with him just cheers me up! When I got there I had a chat with Fiona, while she made mum a cup of tea about what I had been working on whilst I was riding him at Broomfield. Then he got bought in and I got to groom him he was all muddy from  hours of rolling about in the field, what more can a horse ask for? But I did that then tacked him up and was helped to tack him up by Elaine.  When we got on in the school, I spent 10 minutes with Fiona working on getting my seat right making sure that I would be using my seat bones but also that I had got my leg in the right place e.g. having a flat foot because if you push your heels down it puts your leg forwa

Arthur, Gatsby and new schools

well its taken a while for me to update you all on everything that is going on but the truth is not much has been going on during the holidays and during the first couple of weeks at school but last weekend something horse related finally happened.  I started my lessons back up at broomfield again, and Gatsby wasn't back! Lauren didn't know where he had gone or why. So I got told that the only horse that i could ride was Arthur, who as I'm sure you all know is someone that I don't get on with but I agreed to ride him and the lesson started off as a bit of an arguement because he didnt want to go one way, and i wanted him to but by the end of the lesson we were co-operating. We did some riding with out stirrups, as well as riding with stirrups of course and we were working on getting the correct seat position, which once you had it was great and Arthur was much more willing to move. But i still didn't like riding him!  While i was riding mum and dad were tal

Hey everybody, I have been meaning to update for the past week if not longer but with going back to school i just haven't got round to it. So i went back to school a week ago today, I am really enjoying it and finding that it is something to keep me busy and help with the weight loss however I have found one problem with it i keep pushing myself to hard to get all my work done, and to get it done in advance leaving me feeling warn out and tired and slightly ill which my mum had said would happen so now i am working on balancing my time but not working too hard.  Also I am back to riding on Saturday the 22nd September so just over too weeks away and i will have lots of pictures for you, taken by my mum and lots of writing for you about what has been happening in each riding lesson and in february/march time you will all be brought along for the journey of me finding my own horse, and the buying processs and after that everything that is to come! Unfortunately now that i
